The,disturbance which has been affecting the Dominion is now. centred east.,of the Auckland Peninsula and pressure is rising over tho Dominion, an anticyclone having extended across the Tasman Sea on to southern New Zealand. South-east or southerly winds, have prevailed and are still strong and of gale force at places about and north of Cook Strait but light or moderate over most of the South Island. The weather has improved In the western and southern portions of the South Island but elsewhere has continued to be cloudy to overcast with rain* over much of the North Island.. Falls have been heavy at places in the North Island «nd particularly so In tho Glsborne and Hawke's Bay areas. Temperatures have been] cold everywhere. j
