TRANSPORT WORKERS' PICNIC
If the weather is fine there should be about 4000 or 5000 people at Maidstone Park tomorrow, where the Wellington transport workers. will hold their annual picnic. A splendid programme of dancing and athletic events has been arranged for adults and children, and there will be several novel competitions and such amusements as a merry-go-round and a Punch and Judy show.. The transport workers, who consist of waterside workers, marine cooks and • stewards, seamen, and drivers, anticipate that the picnic will be the best yet held.
