DEATH OF ACTRESS

"PERFECT TYPE FOR

TRAGEDY"

(Received January 25, 2.25 p.m.)

NEW YORK, January ,24.

Rosamond Pinchot, the actress, who was a daughter of a former Governor of Pennsylvania and became internationally famous in Reinhardt's painting 'The Miracle," committed suicide. Friends attributed the suicide to grief due to the estrangement from her husband, William Gaston. Ironically, Reinhardt, in explaining his choice, described her as "the perfect type for tragedy."
