(Received January 24, 1.10 p.m.) , N ■- SYDNEY, This Day. The Ne\v Zealand cruiser Achilles reported sighting the yacht Aurora Star, one of the competitors in the Trans-Tasman Yacht . Race, 15 miles north of Cape Maria Van Dierhen. The State Meteorologist said that the competing yachts would have encountered yesterday a cyclone wHich is causing high seas in the. eastern Tasmail' Sea. It is generally agreed that the yachts would have to ride out the gale hove-to. . .
