X Mishap on incliwe

! (Special to the •'Evening Post") ' MASTERTON, This Day. ;. Wair^rapa residents are still awaitingan official report olthe derailment on the Rimutaka Incline on New Year's Day, in which three carriages of a train carrying about 400 passengers came off the line, The reticence of the Department has given rise to the belief that something very serious was at fault, and it is freely stated that a contributory cause was that the train was too heavy to be conveyed down the incline with safety. Many residents view the occurrence with considerable apprehension, and it is generally agreed that a disaster was narrowly averted. The official explanation of the facts would do rriuch to allay the fears that e^ist in some quarters.
