TRANSPORT WORKERS' PICNIC.

The transport workers' picnic committee, which is representative of tha Waterside Workers', Drivers', Seamen's, and Marine Cooks' and Stewards Unions, will hold its annual gathering at Maidstone Park, Upper Hutt, on Wednesday next. In keeping with the general trend of things, the committee in charge of the picnic expects that this year's outing will be a record one and special provision is being made to handle the large number it is anticipated will attend. As in previous years, the leading feature of the picnic will be the catering for the children.
