DANGER OF SPREADING

LONDON, January 15.

It is reported from Valenciennes that 1100 strikers occupying an art silk factory passed a motion for the suppression of the management and ia favour of taking over the factory themselves. Mobile guards sent to clear the factory were forced to withdraw. f . The dockers struck at Bordeaux and a general tramways strike was called at Lille. It is considered there is danger of the strike movement spread' ing._^
