THEFT OF SUITCASE

Pleading guilty to the theft of a suitcase and contents, of a total value of £8, Felix Mulligan, miner and labourer, aged 46, appeared before Mr, J. G, L. Hewitt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today, The suitcase was taken from the Railway Station. Most of the property was subsequently recovered.

"It is understood that this man had a good record as n soldier during the War," said Detective W. R. Murray, "but since then he seems to be chiefly concerned with building up a record of another kind." A sentence of three months' imprisonment was imposed.
