SENTENCE FOR LIBEL
DOUGLAS CREDIT ADVISER
(Received November 17, 10 a.m.) EDMONTON, November 16,
George Powell, adviser on Douglas Social Credit, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment with hard labour for defamatory libel by Mr. Justice Ives. "You call yourself a technician, but you are nothing more than a propagandist," the Judge said. "Much of the turmoil in Alberta is due to you. I shall recommend your deportation."
