RUGBY, November 16.

In. view of the key position occupied by the building .industry in the national economy, a statement issued by the Building Industries National Council is of interest. The council finds that, apart from normal seasonal influences, building activity continues at a very high level. : The latest building plans and figures make a good showing and are consider ed by the council to be encouraging in respect .of housing. Industrial and commercial building continues to be active, and contracting is maintained. The building material industry is very active* again, allowing for the seasonal decline.
