"This is a case of a brutal assault with a hammer last night," stated De» tective-Sergeant A. B. Meiklejohn in the Magistrate's Court yesterday when Harold Colin Drager, aged 21, labourer, of Woodville, was charged that with intent to commit grievous bodily harm he wounded Arthur Harris. The Detective-Sergeant asked for a ra« mand, which was granted.
