FAIR AT BROOKLYN

PLUNKET SOCIETY EFFORT

A■.;very successful fair and sale vof work was held by the committee of the. Brooklyn Plunket Society at the Methodist Schoolroom, Brooklyn, • recently. Mrs. A. B. France (president), in welcoming Mrs. W. Nash and Mrs. P. Fraser, Mentioned that Mrs. Nash was formerly a valued member of the Brboklyn committee. The committee appreciated the assistance by Honations and goods received from many kind friends and- especially from many mothers in the district.

Mrs.. Nash; in officially opening the fair and.congratulating the committee on the well-stocked stalls, appealed to the mothers-to assist, the committee in their; uphill task to collect the required amount to maintain and keep open the Plunket Room,and the services of the nurse for Brooklyn.

Bouquets were presented to Mrs. Nash" and Mrs.' Fraser ■ by' Rosaleeri Butler. ■■■•■.

' Those in" charge of the'various stalls were -as follows:—-Plain . and fancy goods, .'.Mesdames Newton,,, Wright, Alexander, and Carter; produce, Mesdames' Cracknall, McCaWi , Jouning, Hubb«rd, and M. Wright; cakes, Mesdames Smith, Edgar, Cook, and Butler; and sweets, Mesdames Hepplestbn and Boniface. Mesdames Baiter, • Gittings, 6'Connor, Gourley; Aitken, and Tucker were in charge',of the tearooms.

Musical ■ items' were given by Mrs. tipton, elocutionary-items by Edith Todd;: and Raymond Read, and fancy dances by Noleen'Mardon.
