WELLINGTON SCHOOLS
The Education Board, at its meeting today,! was notified by letter that Cabinet had approved a grant for remodelling and making additions to the Kilbirnie State School; that the Department had authorised the acceptance of a tender for a certain sum for the erection of an eight-roomed open-air school at Waterloo; that the Department had approved of the acceptance of the lowest tender received for the erection 'of additions to the Wainui-o-Mata School; and that the Department had authorised the board to take steps to acquire an area of one acre 36.9 perches adjoining the site of the Karori West School for the proposed- site extension.'
