RE-ARMAMENT IN ENGLAND

How seriously England is implementing.its re-armament pplicy is indicated by the number of factories that have; been transformed into munition plants, many manufacturing concerns having had machinery installed: for making aeroplane, parts, and Mr. J. F. Ross, who has returned from abroad, saw this process.. being carried out in Yorkshire. . He also visited a factory in Nottingham where knitting machinery had been partly replaced by plant for making shells,- manufacturing concerns linking their private business with a duty to the State in assisting to consolidate the defences of England.
