A cool and fresh southerly breeze prevailed, but during the night this decreased and at 5.1S ajij. today the wind changed to the north. Hours of bright sunshine totalled six. The maximum temperature was 59 degrees and the minimum 43.7 degrees. i In Christchurch it was rather cloudy and hazy, with a fresh and cold southerly wind. At 1.45 a.m. today the wind changed to the north-east, and at 9 a.m. a fresh east-north-easterly was blowing and the weather was fair.
