AIDE DE CAMP'S TASK
Although it is a big order to expect Aide de Camp to beat Parislenne over two miles in the Yaldhurst Handicap at Addington next Tuesday, he has done everything asked of him like a tradesman, and is the most likely of the field to bring about that good mare's defeat.
Before the Wellington Trotting Club's Meeting a doubt existed regarding Aide de Camp's ability to go two miles, and an opinion obtained that Blair Athol would beat him; but when it came to business Aide de Camp beat Blair Athol pointlessly, and the determined manner in which Aide de Camp finished removed all doubt as to his ability to master any distance. In four starts this season, Aide ac Camp has won three races and recorded one third. His development and good manners are a credit to his trainer, E. A. Berry, who has been associated with the sport nearly all his life. A pleasing feature of Aide de Camp s success is the fact that he is owned and was bred by Mr. J. R. Frizzell, in North Canterbury. The Messrs. Frizzell brothers have bred and raced trotters and pacers for more than twenty years. They bred and raced Tom Thumb i with a good deal of success, but sjnee then Aide de Camp is the best horse they have bred.
