INDIANAPOLIS'S TRIALS

A great deal of interest centres in the work of Indianapolis, but since his great race at Oamaru on Labour Day he has not been asked for high-speed trials at Addington. He has been given a work*-out over two miles, xvhich he covered in 4min 35sec. He paced in the centre of the track and his effort was much better than the time suggests. He ran his first mue in 2min 21sec and the second in 2mm 14sec. He was not allowed fully to. extend himself, and by Tuesday next he should be at the top of his form.
