INCREASED LIABILITY

The war risk rates had increased and so also had the liability owing to the Spanish trouble, said Mr. C. R. C. Gardiner, manager of the Bombay office of the New Zealand Insurance Co., who arrived at Wellington with his wife today from England by the Tamaroa on furlough. . Mr. Gardiner went to India from Napier and has been there since 1924, j having been stationed first at Calcutta. He has been manager of the Bombay office since 1932, and his visit to New Zealand is for Ihe purpose of seeing his people at Napier.
