provide compensation.
The ForgLjjn Secretary, Mr. Anthony Eden, informed the House of Commons that a Japanese Note had been received conveying the result of the investigation Into the second aeroplane attack on Bjrjitish Embassy cars en j-oute to Shanghai, offering apologies, and promising j appropriate measures against thoi c responsible. The Britisji Government, while agreeing, to regard the incident as closed, asked Japanj to inform it of the nature iof the measures taken.
