ÜBANGI. Queen of the Ant-eaters »t the Show. Princess Übangi, regent Queen r ot 200,000 tree-dwelling ant-eaters from the Belgian Congo, who will be appearing in person at the Palmerston North Show, is the smallest woman alivefor she is only 25 inches tall, and whilst 37 years of age, is still unmarried ana tips the scale at 381b. Übangi Js-a great dancer, an accomplishment £1 which she makes full use during the show period. Apart from a few words of English, she speaks no language.but her own, and was accompanied to New Zealand by Lieutenant Geyser,,an interpreter who speaks six native dialects. Übangi was a visitor to the recent Coronation celebrations,-aftd attended the Archbishop o,f Canterbury s dinner party, together with other nonEuropean rulers. The Prtacess also spoke over television at B-B.u. &ra has to be returned to her tribe, dead or alive, within two years,: and ,1? insured for £5000, or £2007 per month.
