DAMAGES CLAIM FAILS

After a short retirement in the Supreme Court late yesterday afternoon a. jury found for John Leslie Ness, taxi-driver, and Ernest Allan Hoare and Gwendoline Hoare, taxi proprietors,' of Lower Hiitt, against whom Alexander Sutherland, motor engineer, of Lower Hutt, had claimed £•500 general damages, and £ 134 3s special damages 'for injuries suffered when he was knocked off his bicycle on May 14. .

The case was heard by Mr. Justice Smith and a jury of twelve. Mr? O. C. Mazengarb appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. Evan Parry for the defendants.
