LABOUR GAIN
ONLY ONE SEAT IN HOUSE

It now appears that Labour will gain only one seat in the House of Representatives, that of Ballarat
Adelaide, which at first seemed likely to go to Labour, has been retained by Mr, F. Staeey, of the United Australia Party.
The success of the Labour Senate group in Victoria is now beyond doubt, but returns are still indefinite in other States.' ■'"' ' . .. v.
