MR. SAVAGE RETICENT AUSTRALIAN TARIFFS Very brief comment was made by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) today when the cable from Sydney intimating that the New Zealand Government intended to raise the tariffs on Australian manufactured goods was brought to his notice. We are not making a definite statement at tfie present time and we are not going to be drawn into it by anyone."
