N.Z. AGAINST AUSTRALIA MADE-UP GOODS INSISTENT REPORTS IN SYDNEY (United l»res3 Association—l!.v lilcctric Ttocgrapli—Copyright.) (Received October 20, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The "Dfaily Telegraph" says that reports that the New Zealand Government intends to raise the tariffs ; against Australian-manufactured goods are insistent. These reports are added to by the president of the New Zealand Manufacturers' Federation, Mr. D. Henry, who on his arrival fnom New Zealand yesterday said that the New Zealand Government woiid probably take action after the Australian Federal elections. Mr. Henry added: "The Government's plans will be in the interests of the New Zealand and British manufacturers, as Britain is our best export customer for primary products. At present New Zealand invports from Australia are four times more than she exports to this country. TJie Government has taken heed of the manufacturers' protests against the flood of Australian goods, i and is determined to act." ! j
