MOTHERS' CLUB
FREE KINDERGARTEN DANCE A very enjoyable dance was held recently by the Mothers* .Club at the Wellington Free Kindergarten, Owen Street, to raise funds. The kindergarten was decorated- with Chinese lanterns and a profusion of gajlycoloured flowers. Ah able committee had arranged a programme of modern and old-time dances, and the ladies provided l a delicious home-made supper. Master Peter Rowell,' an "old boy" of the kindergarten, entertained with two 'variety tap dances, which were enthusiastically applauded. A hearty vote of thanks was extended to Mrs. Ropb, the pianist. A Monte Carlo, was won by Mrs. Jones and Mr. Hilton. Among the dancers were Mr. and Mrs. Longhurst, Mr. and Mrs. Maude, Mr. and Mrs. Pole, Mr. and Mrs. Hollick, Mr. and Mrs. Huston, Mr. and Mrs. Tapper, Mr. and Mrs. F. Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. Graham, Mr. and Mrs. R. Darroch, Mr. and' Mrs. Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Wellumi Mesdames Perkins, Hilton, Jones, JlOWell, Gray, and McCormack; the Misses N. Jones, B. Gould, M. Vicery, A. Homan, C. Smallwood, G. Martin, Wright (2), A. Magee, I. Claughton, Cousins; and .Messrs. J. Gale, H. Burns, F. Tuck, N. McNair, Hollick, W. Longhurst, and H. Keenan.
