Mrs. W. S. Bean, Christchurch, is staying with her sister, Mrs. Frank Hay, Hill Street. Miss Gwenneth Hicks, Matangi, Waikato, is the guest of Mrs. Lee Martin, Molesworth Street, for a few days. Mrs. D. Hamilton and Miss Leslie Hamilton, Upper Vivian Street, will leave on Friday by the Awatea for a three weeks' holiday in Sydney. Mrs. Trevor Ewan is a Wellington visitor to Hamilton. Miss M. Mclvor, Wellington, is in Auckland for the races at Ellerslie. Mrs. J. C. Adams, Northland, will leave for Auckland on Monday evening to meet her mother, Mrs. M. Hailwood, Wadestown, who will arrive by the Rangitiki on Wednesday. Mrs. J. T. Bosworth, Palmerston North, has been visiting Wellington. Mrs'. V. Ellingworth, Eltham, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Mrs., Collings, Wellington, has returned ' from a visit to her daughter, Mrs. V. R. Renai, in Inglewood. Lady Anderson (Invercargill) and Mrs. V. Sims (Otorohanga) are among the guests staying at the Royal Oak Hotel. Miss M. Stubbs, Wellington, who has been staying at Aratapu, North Auckland, with Mrs. J. Stubbs, has returned home. Miss Hazel Phillips, Wellington, is visiting Eltham. Mrs. L. Lodder, Inglewood, is spending a few day* in Wellington as the guest of her daughter, Mrs. D'Arcy Foster. Mrs. J. S. Hill is a Wellington visitor to Auckland. News has \been received of Miss Alice A. Gray, of Wellington, who is now a patient in, Lewisham Hospital, Sydney. While motoring with other passengers of the Neptuna at tha second port of call after Hong Kong, their car was involved in an accident in which Miss Gray received a broken ciip femur and a dislocated hip. Mrs. Chamberlain (Wairoa) and Mrs. T. W. Harding (Waipukurau) are among the guests staying at the Midland Hotel. ' Mrs. J. Knight (Feilding) and Mrs. J. G. Wingate (Palmerston North) are staying at the Empire Hotel. Mrs. W. G. Bonner (Te Kuiti), Mrs. Bedser (Sydney), and Mrs. V. H. Moss (Stratford) are guests at the Grand Hotel.
