STUDIO DANCE
Miss Gwenethe Walshe was hostess on Saturday evening at a studio dance which was attended by her pupils and their friends. Her studio in the "Evening Po£t" building looked attractive with large bowls of bright orange poppies against the green walls. Miss Walshe wore a dance frock of pastel pink chiffon, its draped bodice caught with chains of silver strass. Her cape of uncurled ostrich feathers was a deeper shade of pink. Miss Shirley Walshe's frock of mist blue taffeta was sashed with pink and silver. ~, Miss Moira Walshe wore black satin with a ruched shoulder-line and jade-green ornaments. Demonstrations of the tango and slow fox trot were given by Miss Gwenethe Walshe and Mr. Roy Moore. A "lucky spot" novelty dance was won by Miss Alice Fitzgerald and Mr. H. Fanning, and a novelty "Paul Jones" by Miss Frances Gardner and Mr. L. A. Fielder. Delicious buffet refreshments were served. There was a very large attendance, and the dance was a thorough success. Rub an oily rag occasionally along your curtain rail. Your runners won't stick or squeak any more.
