HOME OF COMPASSION

PLANS FOR GARDEN PARTY

Arrangements for the garden party to be held at the Home of Compassion, Island Bay, on October 2, were taken a step further on Wednesday evening, when interested supporters held an enthusiastic meeting at the Creche, Buckle Street.

As usual, stalls of different kinds will be a rallying-point for visitors. Quite a number of raffles are already in. progress in this connection. As an. additional attraction, it is proposed to hold a children's fancy-dress party.

The occasion will afford the public a splendid opportunity for viewing the work that is being done by the Sisters of Compassion. A preliminary invitation is extended to young people to attend the function. It may be mentioned that at the gift afternoon recently held at the home, young people formed a surprising percentage of tha visitors, and special attractions will be provided for them on October 2.
