Sir,—l was going to reply to ExSaturday Worker" and thank him for his consideration, but "52" has "beaten me to it." The former, I should imagine, is a fair-minded man who would like to see everybody enjoy the five-day week, but the latter is.unfortunate and somewhat prejudiced. He has my sympathy if he is out of work; but if he were young and healthy like I am, and saw his friends going past the shop at 9 a.m. to enjoy swimming, tennis, and other summer , outdoor sports, perhaps he would kick, too. As to the correspondent's reference, to hotels, I like an occasional drink, but if Saturday closing becomes universal then I think it would be most unfair and unwise if hotels were allowed to remain open^l am, etc_ )s
