SAYING IT WITH FLOWERS

Flowers and plants from South Africa and New Zealand have been planted in a new flower nursery near Soohi, on the shores of the Black Sea. This State garden has been created to meet the enormously increased demand for flowers' and decorative plants in the U.S.S.R. Owing to the fact that the Soviet is becoming increasingly "flower-conscious," nursery • gardens are being specially tended in all parts of the country. Particular attention is paid to the wild flora of the Caucasus, and Central Asia—Manchurian nut trees, irises, lilies, orchids, - lotus, and others.
