TRAFFIC OFFENCES
Offences against the traffic regulations were dealt with by Mr. E.D. Mosley, 5.M.,. in the Court today. Sub-Inspector J. A. Dempsey prosecuted. , For driving vehicles without warrants of fitness Albert Edward Adams, George^ Dalgliesh, and Stewart JohnPenderywere each "fined 5s and costs. Alexander Raitt was fined* 20s and costs for driving without due care and attention, and 5s and costs for not having a warrant of fitness.
Driving without a licence cost William Henry Boyce 20s and costs, and Albert Edward Roberts 10s and costs.
For proceeding across; an intersection against the lights Percy George Waters was finedlOs arid costs.
John Charles Bayley was fined 5s and costs, and Gordon Wilson 10s and costs for riding unlighted cycles. Hisufficiently lighted vehicles cost Claude Howard,Seton 10s and costs and Bernard Ernest Webb 5s and costs.
.William Thomas Hildrethwas fined 10s and costs for driving without due care and attention., ;
-■;■• Pleading guilty to operating an unlicensed car, and to driving a vehicle with other-than the assigned, numbers, Patrick McGivern was,fined;2os on the first charge, and discharged on the second. John Watts:,was. fined 5s and costs for riding a motor-cycle without the assigned numbers. ••*
A fine of 10s and costs was'imposed on Sarah Walker Maberley. Smith for failing to keep as far as practicable to the left of the centre-line of the road.
Breaches of the' parking regulations Lost Walter Richard Birks; John Rush Dunlop, Phillip Ellis, Herbert Kwok, Matthew Henry Oram, Samuel Anderson Sharp, and Leslie Pascoe Wornall 10s and costs each. Henry Vivian Bat■ten; Wilhelm Kraus, and Arnold Hugh Kyle, were convicted and discharged, John: Clousto.n, Roy MacCarthy, and Willie Hearne Mills, \yer,e- each fined 5s and costs. John Herman-yon Dadelszen was fined 5s without costs.
A fine of 10s and-costs was imposed on William Albert Glover for failing to give way to a vehicle approaching from the right. Joseph Herbert Dovey was fined 20s and costs for a similar offence.
