Mr. G, Armstrong 'presided at the annual-meeting of the Western Hutt Tennis Club'which was held recently. The annual,; report. stated ..that the 1 financial position of the club was quite feood, arid the' playing strength was well maintained. Three teams were entered in the Hutt Valley Lawn Tennis Sub-Association's inter-club com-, petitions with satisfactory results.

The winners of the club competitions were as follows: —Championship singles, ladies, Mrs. Henderson; men, Mr. J. Adams; handicap singles, ladies, Mrs. Henderson; men, Mr. J. Adams; Dixon Shield, for combined doubles handicap, Mrs. Henderson and Mr. J. King; Platt; Shield, for player with best record-in inter-club matches, Miss W, Mcllraith;!club champion, Mr. J.
