WELLINGTON LEAGUE

PROGRESS OF COMPETITIONS

The Wellington Chess League competitions have now passed the fifth round in all three grades. The first series of games in the A grade finished with the Welilngton Red team half a "point in front of the W.M.C. tsam. The A grade now commences a second series of rounds. In the second grade competition Shell have so far an unbeaten record. The Karori Red have only lost half a point in the third grade competition. The position of the clubs at the end of the fifth round is as follows: —
