The yearling half-sister by Bulandshar to Rival Hit has been named Winning Rival. Among the New Zealand-bred stallions standing in Australia this season are Balmerino (All Black—Anna), Bgs; Deputy Ruler (Chief Ruler—Duchess Endorus). 30gs; Theo (Limond—Mirabelle II), 40gs; and Veilmond (Limond —Veil), lOOgs. • The last-named s list is fully booked for the present season Though he has not been required to do a great deal lately, Waka, the four-year-old half-brother by Tractor to Luna Lux in R. In additoin to riding Royal Chief in the Flying Handicap, he will have the mount on Taitoru on the first day and will also ride for S. Reid's stable. His mounts on the second day will include Royal Chief in the Wanganui Guineas and Protecitor in the Debutant Stakes, Should Protector shape satisfactorily, he will continue north for the Avondale Stakes to be run on September 18.
