FRIENDLY SOCIETIES
The management committee of the Wellington ( Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling. Association, which met recently, was presided over by Sister J. KivelL in the unavoidable absence of the president (Sister A. Tester). The secretary's interim report stated that last week five rounds were played in the tournament for the President's Shield, and six are to be played next week. ' . ■ '
The secretary (Bro. F. E. Matthews) gave an outline of the arrangements he had made to date for the entertaining and playing on September 18 of six rinks from the Palmerston North Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling Association. The rinks will have representative players from the Druidic, Foresters, H.A.C.8.5., 1.0.0. F., N.Z., M.U.1.0.0.F., and 1.0. R. Orders, whilst the Wellington association rinks will be comprised of players from the Druidic, Foresters, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., and 1.0. R. Orders.
.The next meeting of, the committee has been called for September 11.
