The disallowance by the Dominion Government of the Alberta Bank Act has been proclaimed at Edmonton. The Leader of, the Conservative Opposition in the House of Commons, Mr. R, B. Bennett, condemns the Social Credit Bank Act as defiance of the law. "Mr. Aberhart," he said, "cannot change the Canadian Constitution by stating 'It is God's will.' •• "The Courts are the bulwarks of freedom, and attacks on them are the beginning of absolutism," Mr. Bennett added.
