The "Daily, Telegraph" says that behind an announcement that a large delegation of members of the British Association will attend the silver jubilee of the Indian Science Congress at Calcutta ip January lies an important development,l namely the qreatiohof machinery for co-operation _ and interchange of scientific opinion throughout the Empire. • Although normal annual meetings of the British Association occasionally have been held in the Dominions, this is ,the first occasion of a representative delegation sitting in joint session with an Empire scientific body.
