COMPENSATING PRICE

PALMERSTON N., September 1,

At a meeting of the Manawatu provincial executive of the Farmers' Union today, Colonel S. J. E. Closey, organiser of the compensating price campaign, reported that he had now addressed 108,000 farmers. With fewer than ten dissentients, the ■ meeting decided to ask the Dominion executive of the union to consider the price pattern set out by Colonel Closey with the object of extending the campaign to commercial business interests.
