THAMES BEAUTY SPOT

According to the "Daily Telegraph" a Thames beauty spot is likely to be saved as, a result of negotiations which are nearly completed, 'by which the beautiful reach of the Thames between Staines and Old Windsor will become a national property. It has a river frontage of nearly half a mile and faces historic Runnymede—the scene of the signing of the Magna Carta, which has already been saved for the nation.
