WELLINGTON STEWARDS

As six nominations have been re-, ceived for the five vacancies in the office of steward to the Wellington Racing Club, an election will be required at the annual general meeting on Monday week. The nominations are Messrs. H. P. F. Blundell, H. R. H. Chalmers, H. H. Green, H. L. Nathapy and C. M. Turrell (who retire in, accordance with the rules), and B. L. Hammond.

For the office of president and vicepresident, the 'retiring officers, Messrs. E. L., Riddiford and J. W. Abbott respectively, are the only nominees, and they will therefore carry on for a further term. '
