MOTOR IMPORTS

INCREASING VOLUME

Imports of motor vehicles for June last were of the value of £378,076, or £769 more than for June last year. For six months ended June 30 last the value was £2,697,051, or £442,232 more than for the corresponding half year of 1936. The number of vehicles was 17,277, or 2596 more than for the first half of 1936. Motor-cycle imports for the six months in review amounted to £73,561, against £28,592 for the first half of last year.
