LADY HUNTER'S ACTION

Towards the end of the twenty-first day of hearing, yesterday afternoon, the evidence in the Hunter case came to an end and the Court adjourned until Monday,""when counsel's final ad-, dresses will be delivered.

Lady Hunter, the plaintiff, alleges against the defendants, Cyril Paul Hunter and Thomas Percy Hunter, mismanagement of the estate of her husband, the late Sir George Hunter, of which they are trustees. She seeks their removal from the trusteeship and they deny her allegations.

Mr. Justice Smith is hearing the case. Mr. J. D. Willis and Mr. R. R. Scott are appearing for the plaintiff, and Mr. C. H. Weston, K.C., and Mr. J. H Dunn for the defendants.

Frank Henry Fraser Smith, an accountant with several years' experience of farming and station business, gave evidence yesterday afternoon of the value, of the work of Bethune and Hunter to the estate of Sir George Hunter. He was satisfied that the firm provided a service that no other institution would provide.

George Francis Loney, a bank employee, gave evidence of attempts made through a bank to raise a large loan on behalf of the estate.
