IMPORTED HONEY
The importation of honey into New Zealand was discussed by delegates to the National Beekeepers' Association conference today, and a remit was carried aaklnjg for Government control of all Imports. Several delegates spoke of the danger of apiary diseases being brought into the country if honey was imported without strict control, and it was agreed "that no honey should be imported into New Zealand, except through Government channels,"
One first offender for drunkenness was convicted and discharged, and a third offender, William Thomas Bicbardson, was fined £3, in default seven days' imprisonment, by Mr. L, McKenzie, J.P., in the Mount Cook Police Court today.
Charged with the theft on March 15! of £6 5s in money, the property of Mary Louisa Bellalre Wood, Victor John Peddie, a motor-driver, aged 20, appeared before Mr, J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today, and was remanded to appear on June 23, Mr. A, J, Masengnrb appeared for the accused.
