Shortly after 6 o'clock last night, two pedestrians were knocked down and injured by motor-cars, and both were taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance. Miss M. Fitzgerald, machinist, 227 Thorndon Quay, while crossing the roadway at the corner of Customhouse Quay and Whitmore Street, was struck by a car and received a contused wound on her head, a cut on her ankle, and shock. Robert Incledon, a schoolboy, living at 53 Randwick Crescent, Lower Hutt, was knocked down in Lower Hutt and suffered concussion, abrasions to the hands, legs, and face, and shock.
