TRAINING ESSENTIAL
Condemning the "cat-callers" on the occasion of the Coronation parade, "Fair Play" writes: — "I did eight years (from the age of 13 to 21 years) training in the cadets and Territorials. ' Although I was never over-keen on it, I realised then, and more so now, that there was no sacrifice about it on my part, and that it was, and is, essential for every youth to get acquainted with the art of warfare, so that when the occasion arises, he can do his share towards the defence of his country ... I trust that Territorial compulsory training will be reinstated after the Prime Minister's return, from his trip, as they say that travel is the best form of education. With a few years of this training this narrow-mindedness on the part of a few of'the youths would soon disappear."
