LONDON, May 7,

The New Zealand cricketers practised intensively again this afternoon in preparation for their first game (against Surrey) tomorrow, which, partly through the exceptionally cordial reception given to the team by nearly all the newspapers, is creating much interest. The weather forecast is fine, promising a hard and fast wicket. ■ .

The team will not be announced till the morning, when the manager (Mr. T. C. Lowry) and the. captain (M. L. Page) will inspect the wicket and decide upon the best bowlers to use. .. ■ '■

A description of the practice this afternoon was broadcast by P. G. H. Fender, the former Surrey and England star. . ■

.Page achieved the distinction of being one of the 'first New Zealanders ever to be televised, participating in an Empire programme which was transmitted all. over England.
