Batting for Gloucestershire against Hampshire in the county cricket championship series, which was completed today, Barnett made 101, his century occupying exactly an hour. It was the fastest century in English first-class cricket for several years. Hampshire, in their second innings, were disposed of by Barnett, and Hammond for 74 runs. ...
