Neither team/showed the form displayed on the No.- 1 ground, but there were- some good exchanges and both teams should produce good hockey later in the season. There were a number of changes in the Technical team compared with last year's combination, but the wearers of the brown and yellow showed to better advantage • than the Wellington men. The Wellington custodian, Sharratt, played a sound game and saved on several occasions. The first spell was evenly contestred and the half-time score of 1-all was 1 a good indication of play. • During the second spell the score reached. 2-all, and then McDonald played the winning shot shortly before the call of time. Kelly scored the other two goals for Technical, and Ferguson and Neat scored one each for Wellington. Mr. S. B. Browne was umpire.
