A PRIVATE ROYAL ORDER
London people who are not acquainted with Court observances were puzzled recently when Queen Elizabeth wore a different Order for her new official photographs. It consists of a miniature of King George V, surmounted by a crown and pinned on the ribbon of the Order, worn on the left shoulder. It transpirvs that this is the badge of the private Order of King George V. Every Sovereign, it appears, has his own personal Order, which is only conferred on members of his own family.
