'.-■ v ' LONDON, April 27. At the April wool sales today 749Z bales were offered, including 2549 New Zealand.and 6795 were sold. Theselection offered was described as good and met with keen general competition, particularly from the home trade. Crossbreds were generally 5 to 7J per cent, up, and all others were 5 per cent, dearer than the closing prices of the last series in March.:

New Zealand greasy crossbred, "Oweka," soldat 18£ d highest and 17 7-8 d average. Slipe halfbred: lambs, "Canterbury,", sold'at 25d per 1b highest and 23d average. '■■'■:',■■'".
